Recent reports reveal that the leader of Team Visma | Lease a Bike has expanded his property holdings by purchasing a new house in Glyngore, a picturesque fishing town in Denmark, bringing his total to four homes in the area and five overall.
The acquisition, highlighted by Ekstra Bladet, is noteworthy not just for its value but also for its strategic location. The newly purchased property adjoins one of Vingegaard’s existing homes, while his family’s primary residence since spring 2024 is a larger house situated just outside of Glyngore, overlooking the serene fjord.
The recent home was acquired for a substantial sum of 6.5 million kroner, and remarkably, it was bought outright without the need for a mortgage—a notable feat in a town like Glyngore, where such a price positions the property at the upper echelon of the local market. The house itself sits on a generous 1,051 square meters of land, providing stunning views over Sallingsund. Built in 2000, it features 146 square meters of living space alongside a spacious carport and an outbuilding, totaling around 190 square meters of constructed area.
As for the family's intentions with this new acquisition, they remain somewhat ambiguous at this stage. It could potentially be rented out, or there’s a possibility that it will be combined with the neighboring property to facilitate the construction of a much larger residence right in the heart of town.

Earlier acquisitions include a villa in Glyngore purchased in 2022 for 3.475 million kroner, along with a plot in Glyngore bought in 2019, where an older structure was replaced with a new home to enhance the view, reportedly intended for Vingegaard's mother-in-law.
With the addition of the newly acquired property next door, it's evident that four of the family's five properties are closely clustered around Glyngore, emphasizing their deep-rooted ties to the community.
As winter settles in, Vingegaard is primarily focused on training and preparing for the upcoming cycling season. Reports suggest that he and his team will travel to Spain for a training camp shortly, during which the details of his race schedule for the season are expected to be unveiled.
